Edinburgh Airport is located 8 miles (12km) west of Edinburgh city centre.

Travelling by Car

The A1 runs from Newcastle follows the east coast to Edinburgh. The M90 runs north from Edinburgh to Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and the Highlands. The M8 runs west to Glasgow, Prestwick Airport and links to the M6 and England.

Access to the Airport is via the A8 road between Gogar and Newbridge roundabouts, from here the airport is well signposted. If you are travelling from another location use an online route planner to customise and plan your journey:

On site car parking

There is a multi-storey short stay car park situated opposite the terminal building which offers 2000 parking spaces. There is also a long stay car park on-site with frequent courtesy buses between the car park and terminal building. Several off-site long-stay car parks are available which offer regular courtesy transfer buses to the airport terminal. If you are driving to Edinburgh Airport you are advised to book Car Parking in advance.

Travelling by train

The nearest railway stations to Edinburgh Airport are Edinburgh Waverley and Edinburgh Haymarket. Both stations operate services between Glasgow and other Scottish and English locations, including a GNER service to London King's Cross. Travelling by bus

The airport bus stands are located in front of the terminal building outside the UK arrivals lounge. There are several regular bus services operated by Lothian Regional Transport running between Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh airport. The number 100 bus provides a regular shuttle service between the airport and the city. This service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and every ten minutes during peak hours and every half hour during off-peak times.
