Car is n automobile or motor car, is a motor vehicle on tires used for transporting passengers and in part goods, which also carries its own motor or engine.

From definition cars -  automobiles are designed to run mostly on roads, and have seating  place for 1 to 8 persons, typically have 4-6 wheels, and  be designed  for the transport of people – less then goods.

But, the term car is is not exactly to car people , because there are a lot of types of vehicles that do similar tasks.

Some numbers:

  • There are approximately 600 million passenger cars worldwide
  • There were about 806 million cars and light trucks on the road in 2007;
  • They burn over 1 billion m³ (260 billion US gallons) of petrol/gasoline and diesel fuel yearly… and numbers are increasing rapidly.
